Gone Phishin'

Experienced a lot of deja-non-view there when the blog went missing for 24hrs, did we?

E@L has been hit by some nasty cunt who set up two phishing scam sites using his domain name - here's one of them.

Copped a lot of flak in emails from people thinking it really was me - they also complained to my host, who shut me down... Which was good as I would never have found these nasty sites, hidden in my root directory...

But you'd have to be an ox-dumb dickhead to think that Lloyds or HSBC - the other phished bank - would have their customer ID verification on a website with the domain name "expat-at-large.com"...

Anyway, more details when the palpitations cease.

Oh, and as "when sorrows come, they come not single spies but in battalions", thought I just might mention that SQ lost my fucking luggage on the way back from BKK tonight.

Included in my baggage were my golf-shoes and tomorrow this morning is my semi-annual game.

Who the hell administers your site! They should be toast by now.

Something very strange with your site still. First of all I didn't get logged in automatically when I made the last comment. Then after your site I couldn't get to any other website until I rebooted. I suggest you change your webhost real quick - you've been seriously compromised I think.

Looks like someone just cracked my password... Must be more original and varied in future with my selection of PW.

The hosts are at lunarpages.com - but I am the site administrator. Can't you tell?
The support team at the host company were very quick to sort it out once it was notified to them - deleted the phish site, noted my changed password and changed it back for me so I could log-in via ftp...

I have some uneaten toast in front of me, but I have been travelling so much lately that I have run out of butter. Dry toast, yuck.

"noted my changed password" - they shouldn't know your password at all. Generally these things are inside jobs.

In case you haven't noticed, its the time for spring cleaning of the concept of democracy in Sg, so strange things do happen. People findmoney deposited in their accounts. Appeal of speeding fines gets approved. Taxi drivers start smiling at you, Faulty DVD players start working again. Doorbells start chiming at 4 am. People get lost and found sans a body part or two.

And its just another one of those days in paradise.

Juz kidding on the body parts bit.

Maybe I should turn on my plasma TV, maybe the gahmen fixed it...

I was hoping that bell at 4am was someone with my lost luggage. Turns out it was just a cup of tea and a chat with the Minister For Extracting Fingernails...
