Feel Better Now

"I was so fucked up while I was writing it . . . that now I go back over some of those sequences and I can't figure out what I could have meant." Pynchon on Gravity's Rainbow

What's with the eternal and sentient Osram light-bulb for just one example? (An idea stolen later on and extended to Pynchoneque lengths, by William T Vollman, another fruitcake writer...)

hahaha, GR is beyond comprehension, it is a rolling montage of meanings ... certain vignettes hit you at some level but then fades. i dun understand what i write too lolz

its like E@L pole dancing as fireworks blaze on a tropical island; there's joy beyond sex, wild abandon, the quickening of the soul, that your fuckin alive .... And then you wake up and realised you were juz drunk.

But still ....

That's what They want us to believe, that it's Their PLOT turning on a funny coincidence, a synchronicity, a gaze held a fraction too long... not at the intentions to refind the lost yearnings of the ageing preterite, shuddering in the blinding white climax at the end of the parabolic rainbow of lust, where all ends and yet all begins...

(Now what does THAT mean?)

Wow, that has to be the clearest interpetation of GR yet, though a blinding white climax is a tad cliche hehe though a blinding white climax leads logically to the next opening line : "to wound the autumnal city"

So E@L here's another utterly meaningless book, if you have not already read it, of course haha : Dhalgren, Samuel Delaney.
