Or not, with the shopping.
My God it's positively tropical here. Woah, a storm is raging, the rain coming in a window where it normally doesn't, facing east. Global climate change or what?
It's hot, wet and windy, like a baby's nappy.
Benefit: the fact that roof at my sons' place is corrugated iron makes it almost impossible to hear his home-made techno-ambient wanna-be-Brian-Eno-when-grow-up "music" as the rain comes down in waves of violent intensity.
[addendum: 20 minutes later. Ah yes, this is Melbourne. The weather is now fine.]
Always forget something as I walk the door to head for the plane. Forgot my camera and my melatonin. Bit of trouble sleeping. Dreaming, when I did drift off, about The Amber Spyglass, the last of the trilogy which I am charging through before I see the movie. Weird dreams of daemons and waif children. Nothing sexual.
Took off from the new as yet unopened Terminal 3 at Changi yesterday. No problems except getting something to eat or drink, or buying anything at a Duty Free (not that I wanted to.) But no problems checking in, luggage, etc... Even when it's not officially open it performs better than HK Chek Lap Kok did for a month after it first opened in 1998!
OTHER MONKEYS SAID
hope you're feeling better, sugar...enjoy your holiday!
Feeling fine, Sav, thanks! Apart from hot and sweaty (in between bursts of rain). This country has no air-con.
